What to Expect
The detox meals will be a combination of whole fruits and vegetables and
‘green smoothies’ and juices – liquid form as well as in their whole
By doing this 5-day detox, you give your body a break from heavy
digestion and a chance to ‘clean house’ – getting rid of built-up toxins
and renewing and replenishing your cells. And help to increase weight loss.
Whilst I am sure you will see some great benefits at the end of the 5
days, there is likely to be a day or so where you may feel a bit under par.
This is perfectly normal and is called ‘retracing’ – when your body has
a chance to get rid of toxins, it will kick them our into your bloodstream
and can manifest in headaches, pimples, low energy, bad breath,
withdrawal symptoms from addictive and processed foods and other
Don’t worry this will not last and is actually a GOOD sign – that the
detox process has begun. It’s allowing potential health problems to
surface and be redressed at an earlier stage than if they were left and
could later manifest into something more serious, like the big 3
diseases we are all familiar with.
Just ride it out, nurture yourself, keep well hydrated with pure water
and allow yourself plenty of rest. Try not to plan any big social events
and take it easy in your work as far as you can. Minimize your
commitments in the first few days.
Remember – this is just for 5 DAYS! 5 days, in a lifetime is nothing. You
can do this – you just need to anticipate symptoms and do a bit of
wise social planning beforehand and it will be EASY.
